Just look around you and you’ll quickly realize how crucial business and personal development training is to all of us and our achievement of financial prosperity in today’s economy. It’s almost funny how complacent so many of us were in recent years when we were convinced that the good times could never end. Ouch, we were so wrong!
As our benefits and salaries increased, our home prices all went up, up, up and many people took their continuing education for granted in the boom years. Then as quickly as the foreclosure crisis began, banks quickly began closing and many businesses lost their financing and as a result many, oodles of workers were left jobless and put on the unemployment lines.
Then when these new job seekers went out in search of new employment, they began to recognize that not only were they competing with their old friends from the previous job, but also with the recent college graduates who had a whole new set of job skills that many job-seekers who’d been out school for a while, flat out didn’t have
So how does this affect you?
Well the world of business online that used to just include your email and corporate web page, now is comprised of the Social Media, Bookmark sites and Web 2.0. A few of the most widely used Social Media sites are Twitter, Facebook and Myspace. A few of the Web 2.0 sites are Google Video, Viddler and YouTube and not to forget the increasingly crucial Social Bookmark sites such as Reddit and Digg, and that’s just a very small sample.
I mention these here because if they sound like foreign words to you, it’s more than like from a lack of ongoing Business Training in the field of online marketing. Now I know you may not all be network marketers or directly in online marketing but, honing and sharpening your marketing training will always make you MORE of an asset to your future employer.
And if you are planning to be your own boss, it is MUST that you master the art of attraction marketing and personal branding that is so important to your attracting people of like mind who you then can do business with on and offline.
I see it everyday, people to online business, pushing products first on company replicated websites and acting like idiots online and it’s not their fault – usually, they just haven’t been exposed to a system to teach them how to market themselves first, then how to get paid as they go and effortlessly bring people into their primary business – AFTER the relationship has formed!
It’s like my grandmother says “Don’t ask a girl to get married if you’ve not even been on a first date ! She’ll just think you’re nuts and tell her friends you’re crazy!”
It’s the same way with your network marketing leads and prospects. Provide value first, create the bond and if things go as you hope, then introduce your opportunity after it feels like it might benefit the both of you.
But DON’T blast people with your business on the first Date!
This completely highlights the need for ongoing Personal Development Training. While the mechanics of business training above will get you in the door, ultimately the deal is closed based upon your own level of personal development. You’ve got to invest in your personal development for others to want to invest in you. You must lead with value first!
Personal Development Training is all about getting your thoughts in order to create! More often than not, you need to continually indulge in training ask yourself at the innermost level “What do I want to achieve, Why am I doing this, what’s my time frame to make this happen?”
But here’s the funny part about Personal Development – we know we need more and we recognize it, but we don’t know exactly what it is! So we need to team up with people achieving what we want in our own lives and surround ourselves with people who have the skill-sets and mindsets that we want to achieve. It’s sort of like this:
If you wanted to learn how to fix a flat tire, you wouldn’t sit around watching your girlfriend bake cookies hoping to learn how to fix that flat tire – would you? There’s No Way! You may not know exactly how it works but, you know that if you head over to the Auto Repair Garage and hang out, you’ll most likely be in the correct place to learn how to change that tire if again on your own!
Same, Same, Same applies in Business and Personal Development Training. You must surround yourself with people who provide value to you, will assist you and are producing the kind of results you want in your own life. From a distance it may not be obvious what development path they are on, but if you position and align yourself with that mentor, you drastically increase the odds that you too will achieve similar results!
